What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST)?

The core principal of BCST is that health is always present in everybody. Sometimes, when the body is overwhelmed by illness, pain or pathology this sense of inner connection with the underlying feelings of health, comfort and ease is lost. BCST can help you to reconnect to the health and vitality within.

Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy is a gentle non-invasive therapy. It works firstly by creating a calm, receptive non-judgemental environment. In the absence of any perceived threat, using a soft relational touch the client’s system deepens into a relaxed and comfortable state where the parasympathetic nervous, system can be accessed.

No outside energy is brought into play and there is no commingling of energy fields, palpating or intentional movement enacted by the therapist. We simply follow the natural rhythms and expressions of the body as it settles and seeks out any areas of resistance, sickness or structural anomalies and then attends to reorganise the energy around these areas to re-establish balance and harmony. We call this the “Inherent Treatment Plan” The body decides and releases old patterns of stored tension to find its way back to its original blueprint of health and balance.
All sessions are 1:1, you remain fully clothed and are either lying on a massage table or seated in a chair depending on mobility.

This work is profound: It allows for a deepening into the cellular and fluid world within. Once we tune into our inner world we reconnect with our inner truth and are able to be with life's challenges with greater acceptance and curiosity, rather than disbelief, anger and rejection. We essentially give space for the body to find inner harmony and health. 

All experiences are stored in our nervous system, Stephen Porges coined  the term "neuroception" to describe how we hold within us things that we have no understanding of. Using the understanding of the nervous system and it's functions in our daily lives helps us release long held patterns through co- regulation, and deep listening.
